Tribute to Bishop John Shelby Spong

We invite you to join us for a night of wine, desserts, and laughs as we celebrate the work of Bishop Spong. Throughout the evening Jack and Christine Spong will be available for dialogue and conversation.

Ian Lawton will share from his personal experiences about his dear mentor and friend. Our resident comedian, Ed Post, will offer a roast on the good bishop's work as well as progressive Christianity.

Come prepared to laugh, enjoy good company, and honor the work of this great progressive Christian pioneer.

This event will be held in the Christ Community Church Parlor and tickets are $35 per person.

10:30 a.m. -- "Following the Christ Path to Universal Faith

Bishop Spong will offer two lectures on the transformation of Christianity from a tribal religion to a universal faith. These lectures will be of great interest to anyone concerned with the future of Christianity as well as the transformation of their own faith. Tickets are $40 per person and can be purchased at the door on Saturday morning. Please arrive early if you will be purchasing tickets that morning.
