The People Center is an independent, non-profit organization that is located on the Christ Community Church campus.
The mission of The People Center is to provide a safe place for the people of the area to come, to be heard, and to receive practical assistance in an atmosphere of dignity and trust. In times of emergency or uncertainty, The People Center will respond with food, clothing, temporary shelter, and access to other area resources.
In 2005, The People Center responded to the needs of almost 1,800 guests, the vast majority of whom live in the greater Tri-Cities area. The People Center's life and growth is encouraged by its Board of Directors, a committed team of volunteers, the human goodness that thrives in our community, its relationships with other agencies in the Tri-Cities, and the support of churches, businesses, and countless generous individuals.
Christ Community Church is proud to have been instrumental in the formation of The People Center, and is continually encouraged by the growth and independence of this important community agency.
Food and clothing donations may be dropped off at The People Center Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at 225 E. Exchange Street in Spring Lake or may be left outside the main office at Christ Community Church anytime the building is open.
