Children of all ages are a valued and important part of our community. From their involvement in our children's message during our gatherings to time spent in their specialized programs, we take a unique perspective to children's spiritual development. Rather than imposing a rigid set of beliefs on our children, we are hoping to create an environment where they feel encouraged to foster the inclusive and loving spirit they so naturally possess. We are fortunate to have many loving adults committed to encourage the development of our children.
Infants and Toddlers
Nursery care is available from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. every Sunday morning. For more information on nursery care or to volunteer, please contact Barb Kelly by calling the church office at 616-842-1985.
Children's Program: children three years old to fifth grade
Our program for children is available Sunday mornings for children three years old through fifth grade. Shortly into the 10:00 a.m. gathering children depart for their classrooms. Following the service parents are encouraged to stay for coffee hour, a connections group, or the sermon talk-back until the children conclude at noon. For more information, contact
Kim Bazzy.
C3 Youth Program: youth in grades 6-12
The C3 Youth Program aims to give youth in grades 6-12 a safe place to celebrate their humanity, to develop meaningful relationships, and to explore spirituality. Youth in grades 6-8 meet during the 9:30 a.m. gathering in the youth classrooms on the lower level. Service projects, retreats, and youth trips are a dynamic part of this program.
