Allison Rockey -

Allison enjoys the opportunity to communicate the unique vision of progressive spirituality through both print and online mediums at Christ Community Church. The role of sharing universal progressive values in the language and structure of a church offers many challenges as well as the incredible opportunity to be a part of the evolution of an ancient faith.

Allison graduated from Hope College in Holland, Michigan with a Bachelor of Arts in Religion in 2004. It was during her time at Hope College that Allison started questioning a literal interpretation of the Bible, began exploring the theological position of pluralism and began examining the cultural implications that a pluralistic society brings. Her current area of study is Integral Theory, focusing on the work of Ken Wilber. Allison began her employment at Christ Community Church in 2004 and now serves as Director of Communications.

In May of 2008, Allison graduated from Union Yoga Teacher Training Program as a certified yoga teacher and offers gentle vinyasa yoga classes at Lakeshore Yoga Center in Grand Haven.

Allison is interested in politics, social justice, and the role new technologies are playing in the advancement of our culture. She can be found spending hours online, and loves sharing interesting tidbits of information, news stories, and quirky sites through twitter and facebook and secretly dreams of being an online Oprah.
